Final Four Saturday

What is Final Four Saturday? To some people in America it means absolutely nothing, but to the others its what they live for. The Final Four features the four teams from each region up against each other. This year, the four teams remaining are Louisville, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Kansas. The match ups are, in state rivals Kentucky Wildcats Vs Louisville Cardinals and Ohio State Vs Kansas.

Kentucky Vs Louisville Breakdown

Kentucky is the number 1 overall seed in this years NCAA Tournament, so far they have yet to have a team challenge them at all. The Cats return to New Orleans where they lost the SEC tournament earlier this month to Vanderbilt. The Cats are hoping that their fortune this go around in New Orleans is much different, as they hope to take home the title. The Cats will be lead by guards Marquis Teague and Doron Lamb, Kentucky uses three forwards to complete there lineup the main guy to look out for is player of the year front runner and block star Anthony Davis. The other two forwards are Terracne Jones and highlight dunker Michael Kid-Gilchrist. Kentucky should have a hard time guarding Louisville since they tend to shoot alot of outside shots, but with Anthony Davis, Louisville will have a hard time even getting a shot off.

Louisville will hope to avenge a lost that they had earlier in the year from this same Kentucky team. The Cards have had very good success going down lown to there center Gorgui Dieng. The Cards will also look to guard Peyton Siva for outside shooting and assist. For outside shooting the Cards will look to guard Kyle Kuric. The Cards have had some tough opponents so far this tournament, a couple of there games came down to the final few minutes. They will have to play almost perfect basketball and not turn the ball over if they want to beat the Cats. Siva will also have to keep Kentucky guard Marquis Teague from scoring so much as he has averaged 32 points in this tournament.

Kansas Vs Ohio State Breakdown

The Kansas Jayhawks are looking to make another huge impact in this years tournament. The Jayhawks have already knocked off tournament favorite North Carolina. The Jayhawks showed late in that North Carolina game how to play like a team as they pulled away with 3:25 left in the game that they went on to win that game by 13 points. The Jayhawks will look for a hot shooting start from guard scoring machine Tyshawn Taylor and forward Thomas Robinson. Down lown the Jayhawks will look to give the ball to Jeff Withey who is a rebounding and blocking genuis. The Jayhawks will also look to guard Travis Releford and Elijah Johnson. Kansas is on a roll and a lot of that has to do with the duo of Robinson and Taylor. Kansas has the fourth ranked deffense this year holding teams to just 61.6 ppg and shooting 38% from the field. If the Jayhawks can create turnovers this should be a easy win. But if they turn the ball over they better look out.

The Ohio State Buckeyes, much like Louisville are looking to avenge an earlier loss this season on December 10th however though, Jared Sullinger did not play that game. With Sullinger playing this time around the Buckeyes will look to go to him and Deshaun Thomas down low. Thomas who is averaging 22 points per-game in the tournament will cause Kansas problems. For outside shooting the Buckeyes will look to go to William Buford and Aaron Craft. Like I said earlier Sullinger did not play in thier first meeting due to an injury, so it will be interesting to see him go up against Kansas’ big man, Thomas Robinson. The Buckeyes will have a hard time going down low but that will not stop them at all. This will be a clash of two historically good programs.

Do not miss a second of any of the games as action starts tonight on CBS, my prediction is that it will be Louisville vs Ohio State in the National Championship on Monday.
