Game 4 of the NBA Finals was a complete fail for one team and a complete success for another team. In the first quarter it looked as if the Thunder were about to blow out the Heat, but that’s the exact reason that there are four quarters in a basketball game. The Thunder led 33-19 going into the second quarter, and that would be the last time that the Thunder would have a double-digit lead. The Heat started the second quarter on a 13-0 run which cut the Thunder lead to 33-32. The Thunder went scoreless for almost 4 minutes until Kevin Durant made a knock down jump shot. At the end of the first half, the Thunder led by just 3, as they were outscored by the Heat 27-16.

Detroit Tigers

With the Detroit Tigers staring the season at 3-0, this has people thinking if they can actually win the title. The Tigers looked very hot this weekend as they swept the Boston Red Sox. The Tigers were lead this weekend by their two headed monsters Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder. The two combined for a total of 5 homeruns. Miguel had 3 homers and Prince had 2. The series against the Red Sox was a surprise to some because Detroit dominated the Sox. On Saturday the Tigers dominated the Sox by a score of 10-0 in that game the Tigers had a total of 5 homeruns. On  Sunday the Tigers came back not once but twice they eventually won on a Alex Avilla game winning homerun. They won by a score of 13-12. Hope this is a bright season for the Tigers as it has already started great.

Who Does Mike Brown Think He Is?

Posted: March 26, 2012 by Brennan in NBA

Last night during the Lakers Vs Grizzlies game, a unusual event happened. Mike Brown benched Lakers star shooting guard Kobe Bryant. This all transpired after Kobe missed a jumper, the Grizzlies then grabbed the rebound and had a three-on none. The Lakers then called timeout, and at that moment Kobe punched a chair. He was then told to sit on the bench by coach Brown. Kobe then remained on the bench until the 1:51 mark. At the time of his return the Grizzlies were up by 9 points. Kobe however, was not able to lead the Lakers to victory as LA fell to Memphis 102-96. This has me asking the question who does Mike Brown think he is? How can you bench one of the best players in the NBA? Why would you bench Kobe? So many questions and so many answers. Hopefully this never happens again, because if it does Brown could possibly be on a one way ticket out of LA

Preview: #6 Cincinnati vs. #2 Ohio State

Posted: March 22, 2012 by Brennan in NCAA Basketball, Sports

In the late matchup of tonight’s Sweet 16 game features in state rivals, The Cincinnati Bearcats taking on The Ohio State Buckeyes. Although, these two teams have not played each other since 2006, they look very evenly matched. Ohio State is the early favored pick, but just because this is the Bearcats first Sweet 16 appearance since 2001, don’t count the Cats out.

Cincinnati Breakdown: The Bearcats will look to get a hot shooting start from Cashmere Wright, Dion Dixon, and 3-point machine Sean Kilpatrick. If those three can manage to get off to a hot start then that will cause OSU major problems. Inside The Cats will look for their big man Yancy Gates to grab both offense and defensive rebounds. The Bearcats have yet to score over 65 points in their two tournament games, that could possibly cause serious problems.

Ohio State Breakdown: The Buckeyes will look to go down low to sophomore center Jared Sullinger, who leads the bucks in scoring this year. The Bucks will also look for 3-point shooting from sophomore guard Aaron Craft and senior forward William Bufford. If the Buckeyes control the paint like they are able to tonight, which includes taking care of the boards, they should earn the right to play in the Elite Eight.

Tonight should be an interesting game.

Can’t wait tip off is at 9:45 on CBS.
