With the new CBA, the first round of the 2012 NFL draft turned into a ‘trade frenzy’ and was the quickest first round of all-time.
Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys finally made a splash that wasn’t just for show when they traded down to the number 6 pick and drafted corner Morris Claiborne.
New England Patriots: I may be biased when it comes to the Patriots, but I was sure that the Pats would trade one of their first rounders for future picks. I was proved wrong and they actually traded up twice to get DE Chandler Jones at 21 and LB Dont’a Hightower at 25.
Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags obviously want to give their young QB Blaine Gabbert every opportunity to succeed, which is why they drafted the number one overall WR, Justin Blackmon, with the number 5 pick.
